OTHER INFORMATION FROM OWNER:  It was designed and built by Mr. Dave Thurston who designed the Lake Amphibians (pushers) also.  He states this arRangEment (tractor) is a better design because the prop runs in clean air.
He and his company, Thurston Areomarine, are still around and have helped us, very reasonably I might add, in our dealings with the FAA to get the new Cleveland's on her and also move the battery 6" forward to in front of the crash bulkhead instead of behind the rudder pedals.
We also got him to provide us drawings for an automatic bilge pump arrangement.
Some of the unique aspects of this plane which I think make it a better buy over a float plane are: 1) No floats!!!  (just saved you $30,000)
2) Pilot can view gear at all times ( no water landings with wheels down)
3) Un-surpassed visibIlIty ( forward, above, to each side, and below are all great)
4) Can be flown with the windows up or down.
5) Can get to battery in seconds without bending your body like a pretzel.
6) Cabin is wide enough for two wide men.
7) Seating is side by side (everybody can reach/see everything).
8) T-tail improves performance and reduces maintEnAnce as it is well out of water.
9) Handles great on water, much better than a Cessna on floats.
10) Can beach on a flat rock or packed sand ( never do it in a float plane).

ABOUT THE PHOTOS.
These are some that I had showing the plane over the last couple of years.  The two water shots are in Canada.  Notice the tail number.  Notice also the water rudder can be up or down when the gear is up and the small rear view mirrors glued to the inside the sponsons allow you to see the gear location.  Two on the right side show right main landing gear and tail wheel.  Pilot can see left main by turning head to left.  Notice wheels are the older Goodyear's.  We have changed to Cleveland's.   Also brand new complete Scott 5200 Tail wheel assembly. The landing gear pivot point is above the water line but is sealed anyway.
